Valve to Deliver Steam & Source on the Mac

Valve announced today it will bring Steam, Valve's gaming service, and Source, Valve's gaming engine, to the Mac. Steam and Valve's library of games including Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series will be available in April. "As we transition from entertainment as a product to entertainment as a service, customers and developers need open, high-quality Internet clients," said Gabe Newell, President of Valve. "The Mac is a great platform for entertainment services."
Left 4 Dead 2 Game Add-on Announced - Brings Original Characters to the Sequel!

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced the first game add-on for its co-operative zombie thriller, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), is in development and targeted for release in early 2010.
Dubbed "The Passing," the first game add-on for L4D2 brings the original Left 4 Dead (L4D1) Survivors down south for a meeting with the L4D2 cast, while delivering new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay for the PC and Xbox 360.

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), the sequel to the best-selling and critically-acclaimed co-operative multiplayer thriller.
Coming exclusively to Xbox 360 and PC, L4D2 promises to set a new benchmark for co-operative action games and become one of 2009's marquee titles.
Team Fortress 2 Update Released

This the last week Valve has been steadily releasing information about the latest Team Fortress 2 update, which released yesterday. Unlike previous updates, this latest release focuses on two classes - the sniper and spy classes. The update adds 34 new achievements to the Spy class, and 35 for the Sniper class. The update includes three new weapons for the player to earn for each class. In addition, Valve has also included 4 new maps, and a number of updates and bug corrections.
To celebrate this latest patch, Valve has announced a free Team Fortress 2 Weekend, spanning from May 21st through May 25th.
